Gods

The primary gods presented in Talamh are based on those featured in the core Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition Material. However, they depart dramatically from their core counterparts. The Talamh version of these gods are part of the universe instead of physical beings and they represent forces rather than characters with mortal ambitions. They also no longer have an alignment as they are forces above that of mortal desires even if they represent those desires.

Avandra – Change/Luck
Bahamut – Honor/Justice
Moradin – Creativity
Palor – Sun/Growth
Asmodeus – Power
Bane – Achievement
Gruumsh – Turmoil/Destruction
Tharizdun – Madness
Tiamat – Wealth
Torog – Seclusion
Zehir – Night/Darkness
Lolth – Deceit
Corellon – Arcana
Erathis – Ingenuity
Ioun – Knowledge
Kord – Strength
Melora – Wilderness/Sea
Raven Queen – Death/Fate
Sehanine – Moon/Affection
Vecna – Undeath

Praying to anyone of these gods would not effect a characters alignment as these gods and what they represent have no alignment. Some are prayed to less than others, due to what they represent, with only a few being truly taboo (Vecna or Gruumsh for instance). Some are missunderstood forces of the world, like Tharizdun and “madness”, which represents the confusion in the hearts and mind of mortal creatures, where as Avandra represents luck- both good or bad. Likewise for The Raven Queen and the domain of death.
